And now the conclusion....

=== Family Breakfast ===

Tyrion was smiling brightly as he held Grayson by the arm and led him down to the outside breakfast table. He was wearing a large straw sunhat which rather clashed with the rest of his outfit, but he’d insisted. “Out in the sun, breakfast with family and hey….the vibe is good and look even my sisters are smiling today. I’m sure you remembered Dany’s face when she picked us up?”

“I will,” Grayson smiled uncontrollably, “although, the hat? Really? I know you like to put your own stamp on things, but honestly...we could have found a better hat, or I could go back and get another pair of sunglasses.” He pushed up his own while saying that, bringing attention to the large lenses which were tinted a deep chocolate brown to compliment the white legs and silver rims. “We worked so hard on your look,” he playfully pleaded.

“But I love this hat,” the Betazoid pouted as they approached the table and he held back the seat like a respectable husband should - albeit under other circumstances for a wife, and not a husband. “Do you want scrambled eggs and toast?” Obviously, he was going to do the serving this morning.

Grayson blushed as he took his seat, wishing he had thought of it first. “Just toast and some juice for me please,” he asked, looking up at his very attentive husband.

Nodding, Tyrion served his mother first, then his husband, then his sisters, other female family members and then the male ones. He served himself last and sat himself down. “I believe it’s on you to call the breakfast blessing this morning,” he whispered, “as you are the newest addition. Didn’t mother instruct you on this?”

Whispering back, “There is a blessing? What the heck kind of blessing of such and the words?” Grayson was clearly flustered at this revelation.

“Mother didn’t tell you?” Tyrion whispered back, stealing a glance towards his mother, who sat watching the exchange with a cup of tea poised halfway towards her mouth.

“Not even a hint of a suggestion that the possibility of this could even happen,” his brow was now coming out in a cold and panic ridden sweat. Help.

Just say what comes to mind, it can be anything really. I’m surprised mother didn’t give you fair warning, if I’d known we would’ve rehearsed something. Tyrion cast his mother a glare before turning his head back to Grayson, patting his hand encouragingly. Say thanks for a beautiful day with new family. Something along those lines.

Grayson thought a string of profanities, very much innerly, which no one would be allowed to hear. Give me a starter, are there any specific deities of such I should thank?

That depends on how religious you are. As you’re half Human I’m sure it’s permitted to thank your own deities? Tyrion shrugged. “I’m sorry love, I’m a blank here...just...speak of what comes to mind, but please be quick, mother is already staring.

Don’t make me do this, his eyes pleaded, welling up a little. “Well, having known this was something of tradition, I would have prepared something much more eloquent in advance. We started this visit not on the best of terms but are parting today a little more accepting of each other and willing to listen and understand on all sides. I for one, thank you for taking the time to help me, to talk to me and somewhat prepare me for what was to come in these few days. Tyrion, my love, thank you for all the things I cannot find the words to express. To my new family, it may be a bit of a rough transition, but I hope we continue to speak, to get to know each other well and grow. Thank you for the wonderful day and evening. Thank you for the meal before us this morning. Overall, just, thank you.”

“That was lovely,” Tyrion whispered and nodded over to his mother. “She’s smiling. Uh oh….” He watched as family started to dig into their food without much of a response. “Oh well can’t have everything. At least my direct family is now approving of the both of us, and that’s what matters. I could care less about the uncles and aunts and whatnot.” He gave his mother a small nod and a slight wave of his hand, the other hand still tightly hanging on to Grayson’s. “Gosh I hope she won’t speech now….”

“She isn’t moving,” Grayson whispered, “maybe I said enough? Or is she that filled with rage she is silent?”

“No she’s definitely approving, it’s the others that don’t. But don’t worry about that, the only approval we need is mother’s. And the others are eating so it must’ve been sufficient. And it doesn’t look like she’s about to get up and offer up a speech of her own.”

“That is good then,” Grayson gave Tyrion’s hand a squeeze under the table, thankful that his brief moment of public speaking was over. “So, eat, pack and time to leave then I guess? Not that I want to rush, just so I can plan out our day,” he gave a smile, while thinking, not wanting to be rude, but, I do kinda want to leave before long.

“Something like that,” Tyrion agreed, “and maybe pack some lunch or dinner depending on when our flight departs.” Are you in a hurry? He added in a little bit of a tease.

No, not really. I just want to be able to relax a little. I still feel on guard and very, very tense all the time. I know once it goes back to being just us, I will relax a little. The stress is killing my back, all the knots are beginning to get annoying. Grayson gave another, tighter squeeze.

I’m sure I can do something about that later. Tyrion smiled as he continued to enjoy his breakfast. Unless you want a professional to help you out, because the last thing I want is to make matters worse.

I know those hands, Grayson smiled, they are practically professional. He returned too, to his own breakfast.

At that comment, Tyrion almost choked on his tea and ended in a coughing fit. Sloshing the tea over the edge of his cup, he tried to set it back down while controlling his breathing. Careful what you say telepathically…. Yet he smiled through watering eyes, taking deep breaths.

Sorry babe, Grayson tried not to laugh a little.

Shaking his head, Tyrion got himself back under control and ignored the stares they were getting. I’m fine. He told the others, then smiled at Grayson. “As soon as we’re done, we’re going to leave the table, but not too soon. We’ll go packing, and relax a little before our departure and I’ll see about those knots.”

“Is it bad to admit, I’m already packed?” the half Trill smiled warmly, looking forward to some alone time together again. “You know me and my super organised OCD tendencies,” Grayson giggled lightly into his hand.

“That I do love,” Tyrion smiled back, “and you should teach me to do that because I’m far from organized. As you know.”

“We’ll get you there, don’t worry honey,” Grayson smiled, thinking of all the organization plans he had for when they got back. Ways to store their stuff neatly, the little things Grayson had looked forward to thinking about with someone.

“Feels like you’ve got it all planned and covered.” He finished his breakfast, then excused himself before the rest of the family. “Our transport is leaving soon, we should get packed. There will be time for goodbyes before we have to depart.”

“I better get you packed then,” Grayson said, finishing his own breakfast in a few large bites and excusing himself also. It was almost time for them to head back to their own reality and their own little world on the ship. This time though, officially together, legally and hopefully able to move into the same quarters before long.

“That’s the part I’m looking forward to most,” Tyrion whispered as they walked back, arm in arm, towards their room. “The part I dread the most, is telling Stace…”

“Yeah, you can do that part,” Grayson giggled nervously, “rather you than me on that one. She already thought we were moving too fast, she might consider this transwarp speed.”

“That’s what she told me too!” Tyrion exclaimed as they entered their room. “She thinks that we’re moving too fast, and that we can’t possibly be this serious about how we feel.” He held his breath for a moment, his eyes widening. “Oh my, and what’ll Pieter think?”

“The same?” Grayson winced thinking on what some of his own friends would think...which would be the same.

“I don’t know….and he’s my best friend and I’m kind of scared of what he’ll say. I mean...he did shove me through a table when I hugged him that one time…” Tyrion shrugged as he sank down on the bed. “I guess time will tell huh? Captain and XO first I think?”

“Both at once if we can? Rip it off like a bandage,” the half Trill suggested. “Heck, gather everyone in a room, tell them and have a party straight away.”

“Oooh I like that idea!” Tyrion leaned over and kissed his cheek. “See...that’s why you’re the brains in this union love!”

“I thought I was the brawn?” Grayson flexed feeling very flirty and becoming aware of his sudden need or more alone time with his husband.

“Or both,” the Betazoid chuckled happily. “Either way, no-one will separate us now...you’re mine and I’m yours, and our bond is repaired...and we’re about to head home.” He smiled. “What more would we want right now?”

“A bed and some alone time?” Grayson teased.

“We have plenty of that on our trip home. Remember different type of transport, more privacy and a slightly longer route.” Tyrion grinned. “Honestly, we should get packing….it leaves in an hour, one way or another.”

“Ok babe,” Grayson leaned in to steal at least a small kiss.

=== 2 hours later ===

Safely settled in their room on their flight home, Tyrion stuffed his bag under the bed, then stretched out on top of it. “And...how do you feel now?” he asked slowly, turning his head to watch Grayson.

Removing his jacket to become more comfortable, Grayson flopped down beside Tyrion and instinctively curled into him, “Happy, relieved, overjoyed...I could go on. you?”

“Exactly the same.” Tyrion turned over onto his side, wrapping his arms around Grayson. “Is that all you’re taking off?” he whispered seductively, “I’d have thought you’d go Betazoid style when we’d be alone.” He leaned over and kissed down his neck, spot by spot.

“Give a boy a moment and he will, I just wanted to enjoy some time here cuddled up. In your arms that I call home,” he gave a weary curl of his mouth on the left side as he buried his head into Tyrion’s chest. The spot kisses though were starting to fire him up.

“I can do it for you,” Tyrion teased, running his hands up Grayson’s shirt, drawing the fabric up as his hands moved up. “I plan to make up for lost time here….the time we had to spend apart while I was learning...I missed you so bad!”

His whole body shuddered, “I missed you too,” he leaned in and gave his most passionate kiss yet.

“Like that do you,” the Betazoid continued his teasing, ending in taking the shirt off entirely. He rolled over and drew Grayson on top of him. “I say we do some more exploring,” he whispered seductively, sending a mental image of what kind of exploring he really had in mind.

“Oh you naughty man,” Grayson giggled like a schoolgirl at the thought, “you have explored all there is to explore anyway. I highly doubt at this point there is any part of each other’s bodies we don’t know about babe.”

“Hmm there’s something we could try,” Tyrion suggested, filling his husband’s mind with suggestions. “But only if you want to. I’m perfectly happy with what we normally do for fun.” He smiled, reaching up to caress the man’s face, running a thumb over his lips.

“Ok, that really is adventurous,” Grayson blushed like a wildfire that spread across his face, “but I trust you. Just, go a little slow at first?”

“Always,” Tyrion murmured, while leaning up to kiss him.

Giving just an equally passionate kiss in return, Grayson for the first time in years stuttered due to nerves, “ ‘Cause other than that one time when I was...well, we haven’t done it since then. I’m always scared I’m not very good at, you know.” He was blushing so much his ears were turning a distinct shade of scarlet.

“You can never do wrong love,” Tyrion soothed lovingly, “and there’s no being good at it. It’s the thought that matters to me, and how we feel and how it makes us feel.” He paused, sitting up slightly, with Grayson in his lap. “You can never do me wrong,” he repeated, “I love you no matter what.”

Flipping Tyrion on his back, Grayson leant in and whispered, “I love you too,” he punctuated his sentence with the removal of his lover’s underwear, reading his mind and knowing exactly what he wanted.

Tyrion closed his eyes as he relished in the touch, squirming now and then or suppressing a giggle. His skin turned to goosebumps at the tender touches, and he fought the desire to reach up and return the favour. This was Grayson’s turn now, and he was going to let him explore.

It would be sometime later that the pair would get a break. Grayson, while being inexperienced at that particular aspect of their physical love, finally let his body rest against the bed. Beads of sweat rolled down his forehead and neck while he breathed heavily.

Equally inexperienced, to a degree, Tyrion’s breathing matched Grayson’s, though his expression was somewhat different than his husband’s. “That was different,” he breathed, though he smiled happily. “Amazing, but different.” He reached out, aiming to pull Grayson towards him. “Are you alright love?”

“Now I am back where I belong, I am,” Grayson cuddled in tightly. It was true, he was more the type to be cuddled than doing the particular type of cuddling they had just partaken in. “Are you love?” he asked, feeling a little awkward and hoping he did okay.

“I’m fine,” Tyrion answered lightly, though there was no lying to his bondmate. In truth, he felt a little as if he’d been put through a wringer. “It’s just been a while this way,” he added awkwardly, “but it was amazing. Please trust me on that?”

“I trust you on everything,” the half Trill snuggled into his husband’s chest tightly, listening contently to his heartbeat and feeling the movement of his chest as he breathed.

“And I you,” Tyrion whispered, keeping his arms wrapped around him, feeling the warmth of his body against his own. “I just needed to say it that’s all...I’d never lie to you anyway, not unless it’s to save your life. Provided I even can since you can read me better than my own mother can.”

“Let’s try not to mention family while naked in bed babe. Bit of a mood killer,” Grayson joked, “but I know what you mean and I love you for it.”

“It’s a statement of fact.” Tyrion shrugged. “At least with just you and me now, the trip home will be more private. I mean we have an actual room for ourselves now. No prying eyes and no other telepaths that I’m aware of. Just you, me and this bed. If we so desire.”

“And if there are others you don’t know about, then we gave them a pretty good show there, “ Grayson gave a very loud laugh. “When we get back, we will need to talk about us sharing quarters now. Although, where to begin with that, I’m not too sure right now. I’m excited about that, more time together,” he smiled returning to his husbands chest like the makeshift pillow he was using it to be.

“Well...aren’t spouses allowed to live together?” Tyrion queried genuinely, “I mean...I’ve heard other married couples sharing quarters. Shouldn’t be a problem once we talk to the captain, should it?”

“Yeah,” Grayson sighed as he snuggled in a little more, “it is just the next big step, the final frontier for marriage. Everything will be official and in its place.”

“An extremely big step, but we’ll be alright. So long as we got each other then we can conquer the universe. Right?” Tyrion smiled happily, still happily bathing in the post-coitus haze.

“To infinity and beyond,” Grayson kissed Tyrion’s chest while he quoted a classic Earth pop culture reference.

“To inifinity, and beyond,” Tyrion repeated, gasping at the sudden kiss. “Are you aiming to wear me out?” he breathed, feeling as though his skin was on fire.

“Only if we go back to our usual,” he teased, moving his body to be sitting over Tyrion’s hips. “I can still read your mind and deep down, you know you want to,” Grayson suggestively raised an eyebrow as his hands wandered over Tyrion’s chest and sides.

Holding his breath, Tyrion simply nodded, squirming at the touch. He reached up, his own hands following their usual pattern across the various spots that ran down Grayson’s temple all the way down his sides towards his ankles. “I’m all yours,” he whispered, “now, and always.”

==USS Galileo, Several days later==

To say the pair were exhausted was a severe understatement. They would need a vacation to recover from the trip back alone. “So, shall we just dump our stuff in our quarters then go and do what we need to?” Grayson asked, his arm still linked with Tyrion’s, his head on his husband’s shoulder. He took notice of the moment this was their first few steps on the ship as a married couple… a secret married couple for now since possibly in the eyes of their friends and colleagues they all but practically eloped.

“I think that might be best, because if we stay home we might never leave until we had several hours of proper sleep. And I mean, induced sleep because I don’t think I can fall asleep the natural way at the moment. I’m too exhausted to sleep.” He had his arm wrapped around Grayson’s waist, smiling at his husband’s thoughts. “Eloped….I suppose we did...sort of in a roundabout unplanned manner.”

“So, I’ll head to command or the quartermaster...something and make the updates and requests. You’ll start on friends? I should be able to access a copy of our marriage certificate through an uplink to Betazed shouldn’t I?” Grayson asked, taking a deep breath, bracing himself for their closed in, private little world to suddenly become more ‘real’.

Smiling, Tyrion handed him a PADD. “All taken care of love,” he answered, then leaned over to kiss his cheek. “I think we should see the captain together, and then move to our friends. You telling yours and me telling mine. I dearly hope I won’t be breaking Pieter’s heart by moving out. He was my first ever real friend, you see…”

“Oren on the ship for me and well...Doyle. That will be less than fun I guess. We can have Pieter visit and come over from dinners, hoping he won’t hate me,” giving an uncomfortable ‘heh’ at the end of the sentence, Grayson held on a little tighter. “I’m glad you want to see the Captain together, the thought of doing that alone kind of scared me.”

“Why would Pieter hate you? He’s not into men at all. Heck, he pushed me through a table when I tried to kiss him in some silly mood once.” Tyrion kept smiling, savouring the close touch and proximity of his mate. “Doyle is another matter, you and he have history but he’ll know now that I’d never hurt you...and I’m sure that he’ll watch me like a hawk to make sure I won’t ever do that. Right?”

“More than a Hawk...some kind of cyber, stalker, relentless, terminator hawk,” he scrunched up his mouth and looked Tyrion in the eye, “he does mean well, just tends to go around things in the worst way possible sometimes.”

“So you said...that’s kinda how I met him the first time around if you recall. But don’t worry… he’ll learn soon enough that we mean business, and that this marriage happened of our own free will. Well, in the end anyway since mother would’ve made us go through it even if we’d said ‘not yet’ to her...but here we are, and I did propose properly to you beforehand anyways, so he has nothing to complain about or be worried about. Heck, we even have pictures to show him, right?” Tyrion smirked, almost evilly, at the thought of ceremony pictures.

“Babe, just not the frontal ones...no one sees them but me. Also, not the ones we took when, you know. They just for us,” Grayson leaned up and kissed Tyrion on the cheek.

“Oh no, only pictures from the clothed part of the party,” Tyrion promised. “And hey if you want to redo this the Human way for our friends, then he can be your best man. You deserve a full Human ceremony. Or well...Trill if you prefer.”

“I’m not sure if Trills even have a ceremony of such. Most joined Trills never really believe in mating for life anyway. I think a party here would do best. Keep our ceremony special?”

“I like that idea. Party it is.” Tyrion drew him in closer and yawned. “Let’s go see the captain before I keel over, shall we?”

“Lets. ‘Cause I really need my bed and you better be in it tonight,” Grayson too yawned while scratching his head.
