As she gazed caringly at the woman sitting across from her, Emma smiled at the Admiral’s tale. While she was following the insane story the other woman was relating, she was far more interested in her eyes. It was strange to her how she didn’t seem to get enough of them. It had been nearly a week since they’d reconnected, spending most of their days together since.

Once more, Emma felt her hormones rush in and demand a piece of the action. As she had every day since, she amusingly pushed the feeling aside and tried to concentrate on the woman’s adventure being retold with great enthusiasm. She couldn’t remember the last time she had felt this good. Somehow, it all felt befitting. Perhaps tonight would be the night she’d let things grow. Or perhaps she’d push it to tomorrow once more, if only to prove to herself she could. After all, there was no need to rush into anything. Especially with this one.

"And then, his Human wife came into the dining hall and watched him lose the next four B'aht Qul matches!" Lirha giggled and waved her fork around with a happy grin spread across her lips. "I cannot imagine what happened in the bedroom between the two of them that evening..."

Following into her companions giggle, Emma closed her eyes for a moment and imagined the scene with an amused sigh. "How are we lot supposed to have fun if you steal all the good stories?" Poking the Orion in mock anger she glared at her in what was a lame attempt at hiding her true emotions.

"Mm...I did not ask," answered Lirha in response to the first comment. She then looked down at her delicious cut of targ steak and delicately knifed off a slender piece of meat to bring to her mouth.

"I am sure you have seen some...interesting thing in your career. Tell me a story," she requested with a big grin. Beneath the table, Lirha had kicked off one of her heels and now moved her foot forward to allow her toes to stroke the inside of Emma's calf in a private and seductive manner.

"Well there was this time on ..." A smirk made it's way across her face as she felt the Orion's 'assault' on her calf. " On... Geneva Colony ... what do you think you're doing missy?"

Lirha's foot continued its exploration upwards to the very insides of the captain's thighs where they settled in and began to sensually play against the taut and firm muscles. "...Mm...exploring...?" she teased with a seductive grin. "Would you perhaps...want a more thorough experience?" she offered with a tilt of her head and arousal now flowing throughout her bones.

"I hum..." Clearing her throat, her cheeks colored a lovely shade of red as she tried to keep her wits about her. "So... hum... The were these giant red balloon type plants on the ... planet and I hum... red balloons..." Taking a deep breath, Emma tried very hard not to let Lirha's ministrations get to her. That she was failing and was on the verge of giving up was not lost on her. Contingency plans started forming, albeit with a little difficulty.

"Oh? Well, then perhaps I could replicate some of these balloons for you in my room?" she offered with a wink and a seductive smile. "You can tell me all about them in a more comfortable setting..."

"I ...." Emma closed her eyes and forced a breath in. "I know you've been very patient..." Opening her eyes again she locked them with the green skinned woman across her. " And I thank you for it. I just..." Chuckling lightly, she smiled at her own inability to speak properly.

Lirha stared a bit intently into Emma's light blue eyes, searching for what she was attempting to convey. "You just...what?" Her toes continued to fondle the woman's thigh while she waited for a reply.

Returning her companions intent stare, something seemed to click into place, giving the captain a clarity she had not had in the previous days.

"I just .. think I want to tickle you." The words barely spoken, Emma jumped out of her chair and assaulted the other woman's ribs with her fingers, glee in her eyes, a great big smile on her lips.

Before the Orion knew it, she was being attacked by several alien fingertips which began to fondle her ribcage. A panicked laugh and series of giggles soon ensued from poor Lirha, who also happened to be extremely ticklish. "No!" she managed to spurt out in between laughs.

Renewing her attack with vigor, Emma decided then and now she just didn't care for decorum, proper behavior, or whatever it was that had held her back so far. "I do believe this is where we left it twelve years ago." Without further ado, the woman stopped her assault and kissed the admiral with all the pent up anticipation of the past few days.

"..Mmm.." mumbled Saalm while she viciously kissed the Human back with an equal passion. Not only were there pleasant memories of their first kiss running through her head, but now they seemed as delightful as ever. Not much had changed it seemed, and Lirha reached up to the back of Emma's neck beneath her hair to stroke her skin.

Tearing herself off Lirha with great effort, Emma stood and offered her hand. A hint of playfulness in her eyes, she smiled seductively at the lovely woman a bit lower. "Let's go replicate some balloons." Hopeful, unsure, but mostly excited, she stared at the Orion with a hunger she could hardly contain.

Looking at the ceiling, Emma couldn't stop her feet from moving. Why, she could not tell, but there it was. Moving feet, occasionally grazing the beauty at her side. Denying herself this seemed like folly now. The moment she had lays eyes on the goddess laying so close to her, she had wanted it as badly as she had all those years ago. And there they lay, giggling like school girls, as if the world stopped at the door.

Lirha snuggled herself close to Emma while the two of them laid in bed together. The past couple hours of intimacy had been nothing short of amazing for the Orion, and she didn't remember herself feeling so happy in a very long time. She wrapped a green arm around Emma's neck and shoulder to pull her close, then leaned over to kiss her softly on the cheek in a post-coital embrace.

The Orion was at a loss for words. As much as she wanted to chat with her friend, she also was quite happy to simply be next to her and enjoy her company in silence. A soft and content sigh escaped Saalm's lips before she rested her head gently against the captain's temple. "Tell me about your ship and crew," she whispered with a happy smile on her lips.

Taking a moment before she responded, Emma couldn't help the prideful smile that appeared on her lips. "She's a tough lady. Built to hold it's own against ships much bigger than herself. She's kept us safe so far." Turning her head slightly, she glanced at the woman at her side. "As for the rest of the ungrateful lot..." She grinned. "I've got one hell of a crew. No captain could ask for more. ... Well they could, but they'd be idiots."

Turning her head fully, she stared at Lirha for a minute. "Every time people ask me that... it's like I don't want to tell them. This is my ship. My crew. My family. And I want to keep it all to myself. I guess I'm a little selfish that way."

"Perhaps," replied Saalm. The rear admiral was a bit less possessive of her ship, but nonetheless understood the sentiment that Emma was conveying. "But I have always been taught that a selfish captain is an insecure captain," she added with a wry grin. "You have always presented yourself as more than secure."

Looking back up at the ceiling, Emma took a minute to think about it. "I guess up until I sat in that chair, my world was unshakable. The second I did, it all changed. Don't get me wrong, that's where I belong. But I've never felt so scared as the minute I sat there for the first time. I don't think that fear ever left me. I had to learn to live with it, learn to know when to listen, and when to shut it up."

Looking back at Lirha, the woman grinned. "Of course if you ever tell anyone that, I'll call you a liar liar pants on fire in front of everyone." She stuck out her tongue playfully and laughed.
