ON:

Amynta smiled as she entered the lounge with Siren, looking around for a moment before touching her arm. "What would you like to drink?" she asked, in a soft whisper.

"Choose me a cocktail?" Siren asked with a warm smile, watching her with shining eyes. She had the feeling the woman knew a lot more about the good things to try than she did.

Amynta chuckled and nodded, walking to the bar with her. "Campari for me...and for her, a cosmo," she said and looked over at Siren. "I think you will enjoy it."

Siren laughed softly, moving to sit up on the stool with her. "Is it true that there are specialist cocktail bars on Earth?"

"There are...and they are magnificent," she promised, watching her with shining eyes.

"Maybe I should go and see on my next shoreleave," she laughed softly, shaking her head as she looked down.

"I could take you there," Amynta said and smiled as the drinks arrived. Her own over ice, and Siren's in a chilled glass.

"You'd be my tour guide?" she asked with a warm smile, teasing gently. "I'd need one to be honest."

Amynta smiled as she reached for her glass. "To all the best places on Earth. From the American bars, to the European ones, to Asia..."

"I'd like that," Siren admitted with a warm smile. "I didn't really get the chance to see any of it outside of the courses."

Amynta smiled as she sipped her drink, enjoying the bitter sweetness she tasted. "Mm...I will show you the world. Well, *a* world."

"I like the sound of 'the' world better," she laughed softly, taking a sip of her own drink. She moaned softly at the taste, smiling with it. "That's amazing."

Amynta smiled at that, nodding. "New tastes, Red. It's all about the new...and loving what you love."

"What do you love?" she asked with interest, watching with curious eyes as she smiled.

"Pretty things and comforts," Amynta said as she arched an eyebrow. "And never, ever being bored."

"Nothing more?" Siren pushed, searching her features for a long moment.

Amynta smiled gently as she watched her. "Danger."

"Most people try and stay away from that," she pointed out with an arched eyebrow.

"Screw most people," Amynta sipped her drink with a knowing smile. "I am never going to be most people."

Siren laughed at that, shaking her head firmly and clapping her hands. "Thank dust. Who wants to be most people?"

"What do you want?" Amynta asked with interest, leaning closer. "Come on, Red..."

"You know what? To be honest, it's still hard to get out of the headspace of just surviving from one day to the next," Siren admitted, holding her eyes with a weak smile, being honest.

Amynta gave a small smile, reaching to squeeze her wrist. "Mm...well, there is nothing wrong with living in the now."

"It's something you can't shake off after a while," Siren admitted with a wry smile, squeezing her hand in return.

"That isn't bad," Amynta said and shook her head, sighing as she thought on it for a moment. "It's good."

"I don't know, I think you can miss the scenery along the way sometimes," Siren shook her head before laughing with realisation. "I suppose there's just not been much scenery before."

"I'd make you stop and smell the flowers...or booze," Amynta promised as she leant closer, giving a conspirator's wink.
