Commodore Elsie Halliwell's Personal Log:

Well, I checked with the Galileo's personnel manifest and it seems as though Stace returned to Starfleet after Janel past on. The old sea-dog, as he was. It makes you wonder what draw Starfleet has if, even in a new host, the pull of it brings you back to service.

Stace isn't a particularly common name and I'd seen her field promotion to the ship's First Officer just before the Nimbus games took hold. His previous command experience must have aided with the decision. Hell, he was my first commanding officer and now it looks as though he - or rather she - is rising up the ranks of command once again. I'd really like to meet her, actually. To thank him for what he did for me and my career in those ensign-green days when I was straight out of the Academy. It all feels so long ago now; and so very far away. I wonder what she's like.

Anyway, I'm leaving my daughter with my sister while I commandeer the Priam to head on out to the Nimbus sector to meet with that dreadful Romulan Ambassador. But a ship going missing under my watch can't be good for that early retirement I'm after. Or maybe it'd actually expedite it. But knowing someone on board makes it just that little bit more personal to me.

I'm heading to where Starfleet last recorded the syncronising ping from her and will start from there. It's only a day's journey and it'll be good to get off world and out into space again. Even if it is on a whim.

End Log
