Trouble

"Computer, log and seal record upon closing."

Naois' voice was harsh as he spoke, his blue eyes holding a dangerous sparkle as he paced the room. "There's trouble afoot, and I don't quite know what to do with it. For the past months, I've worked extremely hard to maintain my position as interrogator, and I'd like to say I'm good at what I do or I wouldn't still be in this position.."

He gritted his teeth, his expression hardening. "It feels like history repeating itself. I am sterile I can't help a woman conceive. Any woman I consort with has to pledge loyalty to me, and be with no other man while they are my consort. And yet, several times now, a woman has told me that she is carrying my child. I tell them from the start that due to my genetics I cannot father a child on them."

He took a deep breath before continuing. "And yet here we are again. My current consort, Eva Kovalev, a very gorgeous Human female, told me that she's pregnant. Or was pregnant anyway, because I made her abort the pregnancy. I will not allow my consort to carry someone else's spawn to term. She showed me the dead children, and they had Vulcan features. Does this mean she consorted with another Vulcan? I will have to track this male down and make him disappear. I don't want to go as far as making Eva disappear, because she's been useful to me. And...God forbid,...I care for her deeply. More than any other consort I've had. But she's been unfaithful, because I can't father children. I have been told this many times, that I'm sterile. So what is going on here?"

Naois paused. "Either way...trouble is coming and I'll either have to do away with Eva, or cut her loose. But she knows things...I can't have her rattle on me..."

A final sigh. "Computer, end and seal log."
