Paul plopped down on the side of his bed, PADD in hand. "Computer begin recording"

"Diplomatic Officers log. It's been..."

The computer chimed *The time is now 1930 hours, all junior officers must record no fewer than one log entry every 48 hours.*

"Yes, thank you." Paul said to the computer, it beeped in acknowledgement. "It's been a weird and wonderful first week on board. With such a small crew, there's a tiny sense of claustrophobia that seems to have developed. On the other hand, though, I really can sense closeness among the crew. That's something I was worried about and it's been very gratifying."

*The time is now 1931 hours, all junior officers must record no fewer than...*

"Yeah, I know!" Paul pleaded to the computer. "I'm literally doing it right... ok." Paul interrupted himself. "I had a really interesting encounter with Lieutenant Kohl. It was definitely awkward but also a little flattering. It's nice to feel at least a little desired, even if it's by a male. A human male at that. Kinda hard to ignore the gender divide with humans. Still in all, he seems very kind and I look forward to working with him." Paul paused a moment.

*The time is now 1932 hours, all junior officers must...*

"Oh, my God! I know! I know about the requirement!"

Paul took a long breathe "I also ran into a young cadet - she seemed very nice as well - I find myself in these wonderful conversations with, like a real cast of characters around here..."

*The time is now 1933 hours...*

"Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Computer! COMPUTER ACKNOWLEDGE! DISMISS REMINDER!"

Paul walked over the small replicator on the side wall. "Sweet tea, please, 13 degress, extra sweet." Paul walked back over to his PADD. "What else? Oh, I have a very uncomfortable meeting with the Chief of the Boat coming up. There's a lot of different ways that one can go."

*The time is now 1934 hours...*

"SERIOUSLY? Seriously?" Paul tossed the PADD onto the bed next to him Screw it, computer, save log."
