First Officer's Personal Log,

Well, I must admit, as difficult as it was to put down a PADD, getting a decent night's sleep has done me wonders, I'll have to make sure I thank our young counsellor as and when I next run into her, which on a ship this size, shouldn't take too long.

The ship is pretty much finished, at last, up until this morning it didn't even seem possible, there were still deckplates to be put down, and the gravity net was only just finished on the lower decks about an hour ago, but for the record, the engineers working on this vessel, have done a fantastic job.
Tonight we have the launch banquet, something that I'm not looking forward to, and to be honest, I don't think our CO is much better with it herself. Dress uniforms have always been enough to discourage me from going to these sorts of events, I never cared for them, but, as the XO, I'm supposed to make sure I'm there. Thankfully the quartermaster planet-side managed to make sure I had a new uniform in time for the ceremony. It wouldn't have been a good idea to show up in my last one...suffice to say it had been used a few too many times.

Once we get this thing out of the way, I for one will be glad to fire up the warp core, and get out of here, albeit only at mid-warp, but thats more than fast enough.

Lets see how this banquet goes shall we?

End log.
