Personal Log: Lieutenant (JG) Dea Mialin

So far things seem to be going well. I'm slowly getting to know more of the crew. It's nice to have other Betazoids aboard. One of these days I'm going to have to look into that further. Aside from that I've been busy with duty. I can't say I can fully consider Galileo home yet it's still too soon for that. However things are going well.

Things like this doesn't happen over night so patience is the best thing. Overall I think I'm going to like my assignment. This first mission is a different story. Given what I know, its safe to say I have some doubts. Of course that's true of a lot of missions. We aren't out here to relax.

At the moment there's not a lot to say. I'm still getting over being the new crew member. In time just like everything else that will fade. Eventually it will feel like I've made a place for myself aboard the Galileo. One thing I can't do is allow myself to just stay in my quarters. Getting out and doing things socially will help. Beyond that I just need to take things slowly. I can't afford to work too much right now though I have to do the very best I can at my job.

One way or another I'm getting the feeling that accepting this assignment was good decision. Eventually I'll be able to put more into word but not yet.
