Captain's Log, Stardate 66374.6

The last two days have been stressful on the crew, including myself. We suffered a severe warp core malfunction barely twenty hours after entering Klingon territory. If not for the quick thinking and expertise of our engineering crew along with Commander Holliday, we could have lost the ship. Our malfunction drew the ire of Captain K'Nara, who was unhelpful and belligerent towards us as we attempted repairs. Not that I didn't expect as much, but fortunately the preparedness of my crew, Lieutenant Coleman in particular, was vital to appeasing our impatient Klingon counterpart. We sent the Klingon captain on her way with several crates of 2309, the best vintage.

We are now underway again and have had no further malfunctions that I am aware of. The Na'vi disappeared from sensors as we returned to Federation space and it is a relief to not have to deal with her...for now, at least. I suspect the true test will come during our return journey. The crew has been working hard and making preparations for a variety of potential combat scenarios. I hope it will not come to an exchange of photon torpedoes, but I am thoroughly impressed with their work and more confident than ever with Galileo's capabilities. We will be arriving at Starbase one-five-two within the next twelve hours. I hope we find everything in working order when we arrive.

Computer, end log.
