Personal Log: Lieutenant Dea Mialin

*Sigh*

No words can describe what I'm feeling right now. We located USS Venture's stardrive. The image on the viewscreen is burned into my memory. I'm sad, angry, a a several other emotions I can't place right now. What I do know for sure is that it makes me shudder to even think about yet I can't get it out of my head.

Being busy with duty is a good distraction, one that won't last forever. Yes I can't ignore other unpleasant memories that have surfaced but I'm trained to be professional and set aside my personal feelings at least while I'm no duty.

As much as I want to believe I'm over what happened to Galileo a while back I know I will never truly be. I was at my station on the bridge that day just like I was this time. The only difference is know we were too late this time.

On a brighter note a new flight control officer had joined us. Ensign S'Ranna T'Srrr'Kharh is a great addition to the department. I'm interested to see how she fits in with the department when there is a bit more time to her to get to know the rest of us properly. So far its been an introduction by fire for the Ensign due to mission demands.

For now I'm keeping this entry short. I want to try to get some sleep while I can, if that's possible.
