::: USS Venture, Wylde's Quarters :::

"Everything is packed, and we are ready to move," the blonde, broad shouldered man leant forward to watch the screen, his light blue eyes fixed intently as he made the log. It was clear from his body shape that he was athletic and worked out, and his strong jaw line and cheek bones gave him a somewhat harsh or imposing look, along with his height.

"Venture has treated us well," Warrant Officer Alexion Wylde continued before giving a sudden smile - which immediately warmed his features and broke through the harsh look to make him seem younger and almost playful or mischievous in look. "I quite like a change, but I do not think that my son feels the same way. After the luxuries of a Galaxy class, the last thing a youth wants is a smaller ship with less facilities for his enjoyment."

The Vaeron leant forward to grab his glass of liquor, taking a liberal mouthful as he thought on it longer. "He is more artistic than scientific. I hope he won't be bored on a Science ship."

"Are you talking about me again?" a slender youth moved into the shot of the recording screen. He was tall, like his father, but much more slender. He had blonde hair too, but longer, much longer, to his shoulders, and his blue eyes were the same colour as his dad's. If he were human, he'd seem to be about 15 years old, but he was Vaeron. He smiled at the screen and waved. "You two talking behind my back as always?" Laeon teased.

"You shouldn't eavesdrop," Alexion replied, but with a small smile of amusement. "And then you wouldn't hear it."

"I don't mind going to a new ship," Laeon shook his head, but he was smiling gently to his father, not the screen. "Different things to see, and draw, and write. And I wasn't allowed to go into the best places here anyway."

Alexion watched him, clearly considering if he was telling the truth or just trying to make him feel better. He finally gave a small smile. "We are always alright, somehow."

Laeon nodded gently with a small smile, leaning to kiss his forehead. "Night, Dad," he said softly before moving out of the screen's view.

Alexion watched him disappear into his room before giving a small smile and letting out a long, heavy breath. "He's becoming more touch-sensitive. His abilities are starting to develop. He doesn't like them. I can't blame him, I hated mine to start with when I was his age. I think his will be the same as mine from the signs he has shown. No matter what though, I won't force him to be a doctor. He will be whatever he wants, and have whatever he wants," he said quietly with a deep frown.

Alexion finally shook his head and took a deep breath, as if to refocus himself. "We leave first thing in the morning. My next log will be made from Galileo. Night," he lifted his glass lightly to the screen before leaning to switch off the recording.
