Log 009 - A Dark Day

Posted on 23 Apr 2013 @ 11:19pm by Chief Warrant Officer 4 Cyrus Kiwosk

202 words; about a 1 minute read

I can't believe it...

I want to say I enjoyed having Lieutenant Stone around, that the ship seems less dark without him...

But I can't.
The man was hard, lost, back before he was able, and everything about him screamed impersonable.

Yet he had forced this Department to see numerous flaws in it's design.

This is not an easy thing to hear that you aren't working to your fullest. Especially when that person throws it into your face in public, in private and in every single possible meeting you have with the individual. But I still think it was the wake up call that the department needed in order to be better prepared for the job it was designed to do.

I....respect... Lieutenant Stone. I didn't like him, he divided our team and caused rips that will take months to heal. He caused people to be scared of Security, something that is completely unheard of.

I wish I had known you Jeremy before the Cardassians drove you mad and broke your spirit. I feel like you would have been a leader worth following, but instead you forgot one important part of being an officer...

You must earn respect, not demand it.
