"Log of Second Officer aboard the submersible from the research station.

That was totally unexpected. Some entity destroyed the facility. We lost people from the facility, but most have gotten away, and the away crew has also survived the destruction.

There is something going on within that facility that has me puzzled, and the information isn't forthcoming. Attempts to contact the Galileo have proven to be a failure and from the little I understand EM energy appears to attract the wrong kind of attention from the creatures inhabiting the sea.

There is a locator beacon, but we have to be careful.

All I know is if we survive, and even if it is a holodeck, I want to fly so far up and so far. I want the wind on my face, my back and to feel the air in my wings.

Until then, I'll take deep breaths while stuck in this can of a vessel and hope.
