Captain's Log, Stardate 68859.1

Galileo has been in space for three months and our journey is nearing it's halfway point. From an operational standpoint, the vessel is performing well under constant usage. We've had no propulsion malfunctions and every maintenance report has shown the warp and impulse reactors to both be operating within safe parameters. The environmental system failures we experienced during our first month have been fixed by our Operations team, and each resupply maneuver was executed without incident.

I am observing crew morale each day. The novelty of our new starship has worn off and the daily routine has become...monotonous. I fear if not now, then within the next few weeks many of us will begin to experience symptoms of isolation fatigue. And there is not much opportunity for recreation beyond the holodecks and crew lounge during off-hours.

Communications delays continue to increase the farther we travel from Earth. We are preparing to enter the frontier regions where Federation subspace relays are scarce, and at present, a transmission to Starfleet Command will take eight hours to be received. By the time we arrive on station, I estimate that time to triple.

Overall though, I am pleased with our performance so far and the crew is resilient. We will find a way to meet and solve our new problems, and soon, Regula I will be in sight.

Computer, end log
