Ribbon of Committment

Given to a person who has truly put forth an indisputable amount of extra effort.

This refers primarily to Out Of Character circumstances. Recruiting, pulling the crew together, posting, helping to fill in the "gaps", and helping maintain their ship's website are just a few of the things that could count toward this award. Truly, this is one award to cherish when received. Sample posts are not required, but a detailed description of the events for which the award is being sought for is. (Level 2 submission)

Commander Allyndra illm Warraquim
20 Aug 2016 @ 7:49pm
In the three years that Allyndra has been with us, she's shown nothing but the utmost respect and great intentions for every player aboard. She is always approachable and welcoming to new players, and performs a great service as our CMO and 2XO. She's always willing to portray a random NPC no matter the circumstances, and she consistently goes above and beyond what is expected of her.
Captain Jonathan Holliday
05 Jan 2014 @ 5:29pm
The unsung hero of every sim, Holliday has been the best XO I have every had the pleasure of simming with. His constant activity and devotion to the sim are immeasurable, and so is his dedication to our game both IC and OOC. With a plethora of duties to perform, Holliday not only meets our high sim expectations, but also surpasses them at every turn. I never cease to be stunned by his GMing ability, and Galileo as we know it would not be possible without him.
Commander Scarlet Blake
05 Jan 2014 @ 5:29pm
I can barely begin to describe the amount of effort and assistance Blake has put forth on our simulation. From managing our monthly awards and assisting the command staff, to stepping up IC and serving as the acting CO, Blake has exemplified what it means to be a true second officer both IC and OOC. She not only fills in the gaps as she sees them, she also serves as an excellent advisor and helps nurture and cultivate the sim at every opportunity. It is a sincere pleasure to have her on board and to game with her.

Phoebe has demonstrably devoted herself to the Galileo across the board. Start by looking at her monster bio for Liyar; I have never seen a bio quite so detailed or more thought out than his - especially the service record and character history. A good bio, though, doesn't warrant a commitment award. Since day one, Phoebe has probably been the most readily available for JPs and tags. When she's not JPing, she's giving us informative back-story that's a pleasure to read, and which gives substantive background to the character whom we've all come to love. And, who isn't stunned by her knowledge of everything Vulcan? But, as if Liyar weren't enough, she also has his loveably annoying sidekick Athlen; who, by the way, is so well developed that he might as well be an independent character. She's also got the lesser developed but equally accessible characters of Chara and Kell. She's even adopted the hilarious role of Captain Saalm's little sister Nesh, who's becoming somewhat of an enjoyable thorn in the science department. There's more, though; Phoebe has done exceptional OOC work as well. She made the awesome credits video, several pages on the Galileo site and database, offered OOC advice opinions on plots, story, and mission-related ideas, and has even made Trek-specific character pictures for some of the crew (including Maenad's).

A pleasure IC and out, Phoebe has added to the Galileo in more ways than I can probably think of right now. I know that without her our sim would be lacking, and if she were to leave she would sorely be missed. So, thank you Phoebe!
