The first four hours of her journey to SB-185 had been rather uneventful. After conducting a short briefing with the members of her team, Lirha had volunteered to take the first watch at the helm; a watch that had bored her to death. With everyone else sleeping in their bunks as ordered, she had had no one to talk to for several hours yet had somehow managed to pass the time by twiddling her thumbs and reading up on the newest amendments to Starfleet Intelligence interrogation protocol.

When the chronometer reached 1000, Lirha promptly rose from her seat and went to the aft cabin to wake Lieutenant Markos, the next in line for helm duty. The changeover went smoothly and with the knowledge that she would be able to finally get some rest of her own, the captain wandered to one of the empty bunks and tapped the door release. The small entrance parted with a swish and revealed a dark and barren interior, complete with only a simple table and a small bed. Lirha sighed and a strange sense of loneliness swept through her, causing her to wander away from the door and over towards Siren's bunk.

Standing outside, she assumed that her friend was asleep and therefore did not want to disturb her with a chime. Instead, she simply opened the door and tried her best to be quiet as she entered.

"That better be you, Lirha, because if it's Kell you're going to lose an appendage," Siren said lightly from the bunk where she face the wall. She rolled onto her other side to look at her, smiling gently as she stretched out, a padd in her hand from where she'd been catching up on her homework.

The Orion smiled warmly at Siren and gave her a friendly wink. "I hope no one else would be barging into your quarters unannounced..." Moving forward and taking a seat on the bed next to her, Lirha wondered what she was up to and why she wasn't asleep. "What are you working on?" she curiously asked.

"Reading. Catching up what you guys were up to before I got here. And trying to get the dirt on this Sienna you were talking about," she gave a half smile. "I'm not all that high up on the intel chain."

Lirha let out a soft yawn and shook her head. "It will be hard to find anything in the Starfleet database about it...the project is highly classified and there are barely any references to it."

"So I'm finding," Siren gave a half smile at that, sighing as she tossed the padd away. She shifted further back, tugging her gently against her. "What are you all hiding?" she asked softly.

Curling herself up against Siren's body and resting her head on her shoulder, Lirha answered the question as best she could while also attempting to not divulge too many details to the junior intelligence officer. "Sienna is a Federation-developed experimental propulsion device that Galileo transported during our last mission. It was highly sought after by certain members of the Klingon Empire and now the Romulans are apparently aware of its existence as well. I am...concerned, to say the least."

Siren searched her eyes but frowned at the words. Her own feelings echoed the other, more experienced, woman's concern. She stroked a fingertip down her cheek, shaking her head as her frown deepened. "You don't think the leak came from Galileo - do you?" she whispered, the unwelcomed worry.

"Hmm..." Lirha pondered for a long moment. "Although I hate to admit it, It is entirely possible. The Romulans are experts at covert warfare and deception, and their spy networks are much more efficient than the Federation's or Klingon's." she thought to herself out-loud. "And...there was an incident during shore leave back on Vega colony where our computer core was accessed and sensitive files pertaining to Project Sienna were downloaded. The perpetrator appeared to be a civilian, but that could mean he was working for any number of different organizations...or governments."

"Or simply to the highest bidder," Siren agreed with a nod. She finally sighed and shook her head, taking on a resolute look as she touched her jaw. "Well, there's nothing we can do about it at this moment in time. So there's no use worrying on it until we're there and you know more. We could use a thousand minutes making a thousand guesses and them all still be wrong. And a certain Captain needs her sleep just as much as anyone else," she arched an eyebrow with a playful smile all the same.

Lirha flashed a tiny smile then softly sighed in silent agreement and wrapped an arm around Siren's waist, pulling her tightly against her. "I suppose you are right. Whatever is transpiring, we will find out soon enough."

Siren sighed softly at the feeling of closeness, smiling gently as she draped her arm gently over her, stroking her long, dark hair soothingly. "And I've got your back," she whispered. "We all have. You're not going anywhere alone."

The captain was comforted by Siren's words but couldn't resist a friendly tease. "You Humans have such a strange use of speech sometimes..." she replied after hearing another idiom which she had never really made sense to her despite spending her teenage years living on Earth. "I can roll over if you like and then you can 'have my back' all you like?" she proposed with a wry grin.

Siren laughed warmly, tapping her hand playfully against her hip. "Only if it makes you more comfortable," she teased with a soft smile, her lips brushing a quick kiss to her neck.

Cupping Siren's cheek, Lirha tilted the woman's head up and planted a wet kiss on her lips. She then sat up and pulled her uniform top up and over her head, tossed it aside, then removed her bra and set it on the corner of the bed. She proceeded to lie down on her stomach and presented her exposed back to Siren. "Massage me." she ordered with grin.

"Ohh, like that is it? Yes, Sir," Siren smiled with both warmth and amusement before shifting so she could straddle her Captain's shapely thighs. She leant down, running her hands firmly up the curve of her back, sighing at feeling the soft, warm skin. "I wish I were like you," she whispered with a smile, but it was good natured. "You even smell good," she laughed softly, dipping her head to catch a scent of her hair and neck as her fingers pushed higher up over her shoulderblades, tracing the delicate lines.

The captain wrapped her arms around the pillow in front of her and sunk her head into it while letting out a muffled moan. She focused on the intricate sensations of Siren's digits working their way into the muscles of her back and shoulders, and happily exhaled a deep breath. "You are like me..." she murmured after tilting her head to the side and closing her eyes. "Just...Human. And with red hair."

"That's it," Siren urged with a fond smile, letting her fingers rock in firm circles against her flesh, leaning down close to kiss her hair and whisper, working her way down her spine to get to the delicate curve of her lower back. "Nice and relaxed now. A beautiful woman, on a comfortable bed, not a care in the world..."

Swooning and closing her eyes, Lirha reveled in the intimate pleasure of the back rub while also succumbing to her fatigue. She listened to Siren's seductive voice and complied, slowly beginning to drift into a sleepy state as her body became limp and supple.

Siren carefully eased the pressure she used, until her hands were only stroking the warm skin. She slowed the ministrations, just gentle brushes of contact as she saw the signs of sleep, trying to urge her into it. She smiled with satisfaction as Lirha's breath deepened and carefully pulled herself back to let her sleep. She deserved it, she worked so hard. She kept close though, laying against the side of her body, tugging the cover gently over to keep her warm in her dreams.
