Timeline: MD01 - 1415hrs

The time had finally arrived. Galileo's time to rejoin her sister ships in the depths of space was upon them. Surrounded by a myriad of other starships, each more than double her size, Galileo looked almost insignificant between the Galaxy and Saber class vessels that surrounded the Starbase.

After a moment's silence as the orders from Starbase control came through to Galileo to authorise her to leave, he hum of the Nova-Class' thrusters roared into life, sending a signal to those ships round her that departure was imminent.

As other vessels remained silently moored to their parent Starbase, the Galileo slowly began to pull away, moving out metre my metre from between the two larger vessels flanking either side of the tiny science vessel until she had finally freed herself from the confines of her docking lane.

Without hesitation, Galileo's impulse engines burst into life, pushing her further and further away from the station. After only a few moments, the survey ship seemed to come to a halt, before the brilliant blue glow of her nacelles seemed to amplify a thousand times, before she disappeared into the superluminal embrace of Warp.
