New Friends

"The past few days were just crazy....first we get sucked into what is called the mirror universe, where we're captured by mirrors of ourselves...and now we're spat back into our own universe and heading to who knows where. We're adrift, I think..."

Wintrow lay on his bed, staring at the ceiling as he recorded his log.

"..at least I don't feel anything coming from the engines and I do know what warp speed feels like... I've not been on the bridge since that one incident, I've mainly been keeping myself occupied with shuttle maintenance, and my studies with Taliesin."

He paused for a few seconds as if pondering something. "I've not seen S'rivas though...I wonder if he's alright... while being a hard taskmaster I actually think he's quite well...cute I guess. Handsome for sure."

Another brief pause.

"Anyway...if not for Abbey... I mean, her mirror universe counterpart, I don't think I'd be lying here dictating my log. She saved my life and uh.. I think I sort of made a friend out of her? We spent a lot of time together since she was released from the brig and uh.. I'm not quite sure what to think. I like her, I mean I really like her, but I have no idea what to do. I hope she's okay with being friends though... I could use a friend, I don't have a whole many, especially of the female variety. Just my roommate, I guess... not that I've spent much time with her, we do have different shifts. AH well, we'll see where it leads... if anything, I made a new friend and for me, that's something."

Wintrow sighed and closed his eyes. "Computer, end log."
