To understand Louis duChampe one must understand he always felt like he was an outcast in most social circles. From all that I have read, the time he was most frightened was when he encountered a transmission from a rather terrified Cardasian chef who called himself Brun. Even more frightening was the ramblings of the man. That encounter with the Galor would prove to be a catalyst for the incidents that followed.
