The past few days have been particularly challenging. I'm dealing with an unsettling array of psychological symptoms among the crew, ranging from mild difficulty concentrating to vivid hallucinations. What troubles me most is the inconsistency of these experiences. While some crew members report seeing things that couldn't possibly be real, others struggle to focus on even the simplest tasks. There seems to be no clear pattern, and the cause remains frustratingly elusive.
However, there is a growing body of evidence suggesting that these symptoms may have a temporal component. Some accounts from the affected crew members are eerily similar, describing experiences that overlap in key ways, rather than being entirely unique to each individual. This raises the possibility that we might be dealing with a shared, time-related phenomenon. My goal is to help the crew piece together their recollections, to find common threads that could lead us to the source of the problem. Just as importantly, I want to reassure those experiencing these symptoms that they aren't losing their minds.
This is no small task. The strain on morale is evident, and even I find myself wrestling with a sense of unease. The arrival of our new chaplain - a man with an interesting background despite his limited experience, is a welcome addition. I am confident that we will uncover the truth behind these disturbances. Yet, I can't shake the feeling that the answer might reveal something far more complex—and potentially more dangerous—than any of us are prepared for. For now, I must remain steadfast, offering support and guidance as we navigate this unsettling mystery together.
