"Yes, John, that's why they call it attempted murder, not manslaughter. I'll contact you later." Greg tapped his combadge and turned to the monitor.

"Sorry, the last few days have been extremely busy. My first big on-board case happened a few days ago and a crap load of issues caused ALL of the work to fall on me....the highest NCO in Security. Meaning I had to take over investigation."

Greg sat down on the bed. "It's still an ongoing case, so I can't give many details. A crew member was attacked on the ship, which seems to be a recurring theme on any ship I'm on, and we responded. One thing led to another, my old CO left the scene and I, being the highest ranking Security Officer at the site had to take over. Long story short, we have a suspect under arrest. On top of that, I've barely been getting any sleep. Maybe once this is over, I can...."

A console beeped. "Wait a minute...I'm getting called to battle stations." He leaned forward an read the alert. "We all are." The room's lights went red as an alarm went off. "Shit, somethings happening. I'll have to continue this later. Chief Mitchell out.
