Personality & Traits

General Overview		Hiroshi is a stoic and calm person by nature. He tends to be calm under pressure and slow to anger, but this does mean that on the rare occasions when things get too much for him it can all be very explosive, or implosive depending on the situation. He does not laugh often as he believes it does not promote a proper work environment. That is not to say he is Vulcan stoic and is capable of telling a joke and taking one and making sure the atmosphere for those around him is positive, as he believes people work best when they are happy.

Personal History		Hiro was born into a StarFleet family. His father and mother both were in the service and though not located on board ships they worked at the various locations doing many of the so called desk tasks that kept the Fleet running. While each did not serve on a ship they encouraged their two sons to enter Fleet and to head to the stars. Jiro did not find any interest in the Fleet or having a career in it and found that he loved the arts better becoming a painter and poet of modicum renown. Hiroshi on the other hand took the Academy and with a near single mindedness pursued not only his studies there but learning a far ranging set of skills. Though he did well in his science and flight background his eyes were always on gaining not just a place on a ship but commanding one. His first assignment was as a flight controller on the USS Bennington. His attention to detail and quick input in various situations caught the eye of the captain and first officer. He was transferred to the USS Pegasus as second officer and from there began to move up the ranks and ships to his present position.
