Sim Announcements - September

Posted on 23 Sep 2013 @ 11:23am by Captain Jonathan Holliday

Hi all,

Me here with the weekly news report this time! John isn't exactly himself at the moment so this is giving me something to write about! First off, a few housekeeping points....

1. the number of people voting in the crew awards seems to be getting smaller and smaller - this really does make it hard for the command staff to decide who wins what, and we want these votes to be representative of the crew as a whole. Can I ask that EVERYONE remembers to vote this month, if not, I'll be getting in touch to find out why.

2.On the matter of crew commitments - please everyone remember that as we reach the end of the month, our monthly log entries are expected - remember this is a mandatory requirement for serving aboard Galileo and again I will be checking if people aren't doing them - it doesn't take long and even if it's two lines long, it's still better than writing nothing!!

3. The CPS is now fully up and running, and you'll note that Jay and I have finalised our decisions so if you want to take a look on our respective character profiles you can see some examples. Whilst this is not mandatory, we would like to see as many of us as possible using it so I urge you to have a look, read the guide, and PM Jay if you want to set your characters up using this! :)

4. We have a new player! Please welcome Lieutenant Asahi Kita who will be joining our rather sparse Engineering team so another pair of hands will certainly make light work! Let's make sure we give our usual awesome Galileo welcome and start cranking out some JP's! :) I'd join in myself but John's a little robotic when it comes to conversation at present!

Nothing else I can think of off the top of my head - carry on team, and if you need me, you know where I am!

And remember - Resistance is F.....no..no...this is OOC....sorry, force of habit!!! :P

Can I ask something?

You say the log can be "two lines long", but I thought the requirement was for 500+ words? Which I'll admit I usually find a stretch... Is the word limit not mandatory?
