Sickbay is the main medical center aboard the ship. It is presided over by the Chief Medical Officer and supported by various doctors and nurses. The area is also used for certain analyses of new lifeforms Galileo might encounter, and for developing treatments for unknown diseases or illnesses.

Function Medical Treatment, Experimentation
Description Two biobeds line the walls of sickbay's intensive care unit, or ICU; these are for patients receiving medical care and are equipped with biofunction monitors. At the far end of the room is a large surgical bed where major surgeries are performed and critical patients are treated. There is also one small laboratory facility attached to the opposite side of the CMO's office where the medical staff can monitor experiments or run tests during their duty shift. The laboratory is equipped with a full bioisolation field.
