Summary

Combining both facilities into a single one due to lack of space, the ship's security office is located in the same room as the brig. From here, Security personnel can conduct surveillance and investigations, and deal with any additional police matters.

Description		The security office is allocated to any members of the Security department, but mainly for the chief of security/tactical operations. The consoles and terminals in the room are integrated with the rest of the ship's surveillance systems, including holo-recorders, data files, and transmission logs. The brig functions as a detention area aboard Galileo. This heavily-guarded room employs force fields to keep those incarcerated segregated from the general population of the vessel. This area is used to contain criminals, fugitives, and others who pose a security risk and must be detained. The brig is also used as a means of punishment within Starfleet ranks.
