Last week was a relatively quiet week of simming, with many people on LOA for one reason or another. As far as John and I are aware, everyone should be back from their leave by now which means we have a lot of catching up to do. There are eight or so JPs in the works which have not been tagged since late May. If these posts are not tagged and updated within the next 48 hours, John and I will begin going through them and deleting/posting them as necessary. A reminder for everyone, Galileo does not accept backposts, which means everyone needs to stay on top of their current JPs so that they do not fall behind. Also, if you are returning from LOA, you must make sure to log into the website and change your user status back to Active. This is done by clicking the 'Request LOA' link under the User menu in the Control Panel. Please be sure to make the appropriate changes to your user status.
We are making good progress with our SB-152 JPs and I expect those to be finished hopefully by the end of the weekend. Around that time, we will also begin our departure from 152, so all new players should be ready to jump into the action in the coming week. MD 06 is now closed, please do not start any new posts which take place on that day.
There have been several recent website updates. As you may have noticed, I created some new images and reorganized our main page. I have added links to individual missions which will save you three clicks of the mouse if you wish to view the most recent mission posts. In addition, Mission Notes, the Briefing Room, and Duty Roster have all been updated to reflect the most current mission information.
I would also like to happily announce another new crew member who joined us this weekend. Please welcome:
ENS Scarlet Blake, Counselor
Congratulations on your transfer and welcome to Galileo! Scarlet has a daughter in tow named Lily (4 y/o), and she will be the first child to live aboard our ship! Please welcome them and make them both feel comfortable. Similar to our other new crew members, Scarlet and Lily will be coming aboard via shuttlecraft from SB-152 on MD 07, so be sure to plan your welcome JPs accordingly.
Lastly, as many of you have heard, our sim won the Silver Unit of Merit award for the month of May. Congratulations on an amazing month, I am very proud of all of you! Please keep an eye out on our private mailing list for more information about UoM awards.
That is all for now, let's have another strong week of writing and get caught up on all of our posts.
