I'm very pleased with the activity level and contributions that I'm seeing from everyone. John and I say it a lot, but we really are proud of all of you. We've moved along very quickly through the first few mission days and are approaching the halfway point of our adventure. Our characters are being fleshed out with excellent detail and it's nice to see all the friendships beginning to form. :D

It's a new month and there are several announcements to make and a few changes around the sim that you may or may not have noticed. First, we have the changes to the CoC which were discussed in the mailing list, and those have officially gone into effect. Unfortunately, our 2XO LTJG Hilyer has been removed due to lack of participation and failure to follow the posting guidelines. I wish him the best in his future endeavors. With his absence, LCDR Remington will take over as 2XO. Please welcome him to this new position and don't let him make you call him 'Captain'.

Second, everyone needs to make sure you are using the correct posting format when writing posts. This includes using ON/OFF tags, signatures, and correctly filling out the Timeline and Location fields. Simply putting 'Bridge' or 'Holodeck' isn't a specific enough description and will become confusing when we visit multiple locations. Instead, use 'USS Galileo - Location' for any posts on the ship, and 'Starbase 152 - Location' for any upcoming posts on SB152. It makes a huge difference for a reader (prospective player) to be able to see well-organized and labeled writing when they visit the website and take a look around.

Next, if you haven't already, please begin to make use of MD05. We will be moving to MD06 as soon as our roadblock posts are finished, which I estimate will be somewhat soon. All department heads are required to make preparations to take on the scientists and their equipment, and there's a lot of work to be done. I added a new News category called 'In-Character' which is exactly what it sounds like: a place to post ship-wide news In-Character. Please make use of this to send out memos to other staff and coordinate your efforts across different departments.

Lastly, our dear friend Kat is in need of someone to make a custom avatar for her character, Mor'an. I have terrible skills in that area but I've seen some nice avatars from a few of you, so is there someone out there who can help? If so, please get in touch with Kat or myself as soon as possible and we can give you the details. Thanks!
