Weekly Update

Hi everyone,

Time for another weekly update from the desk of your friendly neighbourhood XO!

First I'd like to welcome the new players to our sim, particularly the arrival of Kestra Orexil back on board - for those of you who were here, Kestra played our CTO when we originally launched the Galileo and was injured in the line of duty during our Klingon mission. Please make sure to extend the same welcome we offer to all our new players :)

Sadly as we gain players we have also lost Vinnie who played the part of Ameen to inactivity - Jay and I had to take the decision to remove his character from the rota so as not to block any new players from joining our little crew if they so wish - we hope that Vinnie is safe and well, and will hopefully hear from him in the future.

Also in personnel news - congratulations to Matt (Kiri Cho) for completing the Engineering Academy course with a 100% score! This is a great achievement and should be looked on with pride.

We are now entering into the core of our new mission so I ask that all players be prepared for the next sequence of all-crew posts that will be popping up in the near future - hopefully Jay and I will be able to put something together to keep you all entertained for a few more months at the very least!!

Finally just a reminder, which Jay has already put up onto the Yahoo site regarding subplots - please pass any requests/ideas onto me to look at and decide whether or not it is fitting in with our main mission before starting anything - Jay has enough on his plate so for the sake of expediency please send them straight to me rather than to his inbox as they'll simply end up getting passed down the chain for me.

Please don't think Jay is being cruel and ignoring your requests, it's just that he has more than enough on his plate with being our CO and also the Task Force CO as well, so less pressing things such as subplots are just one of the easy things that I can help with!

Apart from that there's nothing else I can think of - if anyone needs me, my inbox is always open :)

Happy simming!

Tom
