General Overview		Michaela can be the most patient person in the galaxy at times. She has always been a good listener which is a good skill in a diplomat. She has a forceful and self assured personality and has a tendency to dominate a conversation without realizing it. She rarely drinks, but on special occasions she will have a drink or two. She possesses a flirty, sassy, cheeky personality. Although, you won’t typically see it on-duty. She takes her role as a Starfleet Officer very seriously. She reserves her real self for off-duty fun and excitement. She is also resourceful and can be independent at times. Personal History		Michaela Young was born to Chong and Emily Young. Chong was a Federation Ambassador to Andoria working from an office in China. Emily is an American Doctor on the Starfleet Medical Council, she also was the chief surgeon at a Hospital in San Francisco. Michaela has one sister Christina who was 6 years older than Michaela. She went to school in San Francisco with her sister. When Christina was a Senior in High School Michaela was only in 6th grade. Though they were far apart in age they were very close. Christina let Michaela hang out with her and her friends and was liked among them all. So when Christina went off to the Academy to Study Security and Tactical, Michaela was a bit sad and lonely. She finished her last years at High School she went into the Academy as well. Unlike her sister who was studying Security and Tactical Operations Michaela went into Diplomatic Relations like her father.
Starfleet History		Michaela made many friends in her classes at the Academy. Her dad had a friend with one of the advisors. She had no trouble passing her classes as they were fairly simple. All she had to take was Diplomacy with Hostile Species, Diplomacy with Non-Traditional Situations, and a General Diplomacy course. She was very popular with her peers and she went to a few parties. One night she was invited over to a party at a friends house outside campus, she met someone named Victor who was a beautiful guy who was studying at the Academy in the Medical Field. She began to flirt with him and after that night they became close friends although they didn't share classes she still had. She enjoyed the nightlife of the town and was out almost every night with Victor. Once they graduated they couldn't see each other, they tried to get transferred to the same ship but DPM said no. Michaela became a Diplomatic Officer for the USS Odyssey as an Ensign. While she served on the Odyssey there were very few things for her to do. There was one incident involving a Cardassian dignitary and the Chief Diplomatic Officer was under the weather in sickbay. The Assistant Chief wasn't due to arrive for another month as he was on assignment somewhere else so Michaela was the next in line. This Cardassian was very angry about an extremist group and what Starfleet planned to do about it. Michaela went to see the Chief every day in sickbay to get notes on what to do. Eventually they were able to make a solution, she brought it up with the Captain and he proposed it to the Cardassian Advisor. The Cardassian agreed and as it was Michaela's idea she was given the position as Assistant Chief and the other officer was given a different posting. She was not given a Promotion but she was ok with that because she knew that it wasn't that big of a department and the Chief was only a Lt. JG. She was still given more responsibility and privileges. She was given her own quarters. Unfortunately she was recommended for a dangerous away mission to a Cardassian Military Installation. They were in a prime target for the extremist group but the negotiations needed to be done. There was a small bomb placed in the conference room placed by the extremist group. The Chief Diplomatic Officer for the Odyssey was killed and the Captain was injured. She had a broken arm and leg but survived. The Odyssey was standing by in orbit so they got immediate attention. The Base commander for the Cardassian installation was injured but some of his department heads were killed. The Odyssey provided help but the Cardassians believed that they were responsible for the bombing. The XO ordered a course for Federation Space but they were being pursued by Keldon class vessels. Luckily there was a taskforce waiting for them on the other side of the border. They made it through and gave her the position of Chief Diplomatic Officer with the rank of Lieutenant Junior Grade. She transferred to the USS Venture hoping to get a more quiet assignment. During the first few weeks of serving onboard the ship was destroyed and the most of the crew was killed, she was lucky and survived. She did not officially transfer to the Galileo but she did have the highest rank in the Department she she assumed she would automatically get the job.
Medical History		2388-Treated by the USS Odyssey Medical staff for a Broken Arm, Leg, and Various minor injuries to the body by an Explosion on a Cardassian Military Installation.
