Mission Summary
Cold Station 31's fate has been sealed. USS Galileo-A's expeditions to the facility yielded a terrible revelation: that recent Starfleet experiments into transwarp transporter technology inadvertently opened a portal to a new, terrifying dimensional plane of existence. Only two surviving scientists were recovered, their true intentions still unknown. The station was subsequently destroyed to prevent further propagation of its research.
Now, as Galileo-A finishes her repair and resupply evolution at Regula I, a critical decision alters the historical timeline. Destroying the cold station's recovered research data initiates a temporal paradox which brings Galileo-A into a future where the Federation battles a joint Klingon-Romulan alliance for technological supremacy of the Alpha and Beta Quadrants. Starfleet stands on the precipice of defeat, unable to repel the full force of both empires' military fleets.
All is not hopeless. USS Galileo-A is intercepted by its future counterpart, USS Galileo-B. Familiar faces resurface from both the past and present. Together, the two science vessels work to find a solution to the future which can only be initiated in the past — and which will require the ultimate sacrifice.
