Category: Both
Awarded: 91 times

Ensign Callin Mastrel
03 Jun 2019 @ 7:39am
A couple of posts this month have featured our dear Ensign Mastrel. Compared to last month, he's gotten more postage in this month and more of those posts feature that character. He's done an excellent job on integrating and supplying righ reading material. Well done.
Lieutenant Lake ir-Llantrisant
09 May 2019 @ 6:13am
I'm nominating Brendan specifically for the post Unbearable Vulnerabilities which was all round a good read. That's not to diminish Thomas' contributions to it but I nominated him last time - what can you do?

All round Brendan's writing is fun and engaging to read and he always puts in the effort to bring you into Lake's mind which is so often such a breath of fresh air.
Commander Allyndra illm Warraquim
13 Apr 2019 @ 4:54pm
She's done a great job with T'Lin and Allyndra during the past month. Her knowledge of science is impressive.
Lieutenant Lake ir-Llantrisant
13 Apr 2019 @ 4:53pm
I nominate Commander Andreus Kohl's entry, "His Final Flight" for the March 2019 Crew's Choice Award. I feel that it is well-written and it brings some closure to a character that must have been fun to write with.
Lieutenant Lake ir-Llantrisant
04 Mar 2019 @ 5:28pm
Lake is always a brilliantly written character, but his involvement in the large JPs recently has proven that Brendan can take the strong personality and keep that unique characterisation alive in a large, complex JP, adding colour to the post but not detracting from the storyline either.
Petty Officer 3rd Class Constantin Vansen
05 Feb 2019 @ 1:40pm
Anne has written some great JPs this month. I've enjoyed both the JPs we've written together (providing great fun for me!) and the ones she's written with other people. She always keeps the replies entertaining, full of character and also well crafted to keep momentum in the conversation.
Chief Warrant Officer 3 Azra Ghoc
04 Jan 2019 @ 4:50pm
For being one of the most prolific writers this month, and for creating genuine drama and tension through story threads about the way she does her job and the consequences of the same.
Commander Marisa Wyatt
07 Dec 2018 @ 4:36pm
For November, I went looking to see who was the most prolific. Writing the most posts is not that important, but it does provide an indication of involvement. I thought I’ve been pretty involved, for the two completed so far and the several still being worked on. But when I looked at Charlie’s work for November, I found 4 separate posts. A couple of these were too long and had been broken down into parts.

Activity and involvement aside, I found the writing for Lt. Sandoval to be very clear, creative, and engaging. After reading over 3 of the posts, which I very much enjoyed, again. It was the type of writing that I try to emulate. Creating a post or short moment in time is one thing. But, writing so that it draws the reader back for more . . well that is what I found here.

I’m even more now looking forward to working on the post with Charlie.
Commander Scarlet Blake
07 Dec 2018 @ 4:36pm
I have really enjoyed writing with Blake this month. We have had several JPs on the go after the party and the majority of my JPs has been with her. It's been emotional, fun and always rewarding. I also think that Blake has been great in the mass JPs so wanted to nod my hat in her direction.
Lieutenant JG Matthew Plumeri
07 Nov 2018 @ 4:13pm
Matthew Plumeri has joined the Galileo crew as a well-considered and strong character, and he's being written in a way that truly allows us to get under Matthew's skin and understand what he brings to this crew and our stories.
Lieutenant Lake ir-Llantrisant
07 Nov 2018 @ 4:13pm
For doing a great job in running and keeping control of the party posts which could have easily become a monster, but he kept them running smoothly and made it fun. He's also done some great writing over his other posts too.
Commander Luke Wyatt
08 Oct 2018 @ 11:36pm
Jake has taken the time to do posts with just about everyone on the ship. Each post is interesting and well-written. He goes out of his way to make people feel welcome on the Galileo.
Rear Admiral Lirha Saalm
18 Mar 2018 @ 3:07pm
I read Lirh'as interview and it was amazing. There is something about the way that Jay wriites Lirha that almost makes me envious. There are times that I wish I could connect with my character as well as Jay does with Lirha.
Lieutenant Lake ir-Llantrisant
18 Mar 2018 @ 3:00pm
Since joining the sim he has started posts with a lot of the crew. Each one is different and shows a different part of his personality. All are very good. I look forward to what he'll bring to the sim.
Ensign Miraj Derani
18 Mar 2018 @ 2:49pm
I think that Miraj deserves the award this month based on her several joint posts. Each one delves into her character and provides insight to her thoughts and wishes. Good job!
Commander Allyndra illm Warraquim
18 Mar 2018 @ 2:46pm
I have noticed a great deal of character development with Allyndra that amazes me. To be able to create a backstory, especially for a race that I do not believe is in the normal canon, that is complex and detailed is great. And her character's reaction to the events of the last few missions is very good.
Vice Admiral Colin McDermott
18 Mar 2018 @ 2:14pm
Well I would like to nominate all our guest writers but if I have to pick one, McDermott has really made the inquiries come to life with realism
Ensign Miraj Derani
22 Jun 2017 @ 5:24pm
Playing a character that has suffered brain damage and writing so well and making it believable.
Ambassador Soral Varro
22 Jun 2017 @ 5:24pm
Kat has done some great character development posts this month, many of them with other players. It's fun to read the way Varro is evolving.
Commander Aren Ban
22 Jun 2017 @ 5:18pm
Always Ban, the way he plays his character and the way acts OOC is a refreshing experience for me! Thankyou!
Ensign Miraj Derani
06 Apr 2017 @ 2:13pm
I think that Miraj has been doing great this past month. She has grown more as a character during the mission and I think that she deserves this award.
Commander Aren Ban
06 Apr 2017 @ 2:13pm
I love the way he is portrayed. What I would call the very essence of what an executive officer should be.
Lieutenant Tuula Voutilainen M.D.
06 Apr 2017 @ 2:11pm
I have only just joined the crew of the USS Galileo, I responded to a yahoo groups request for joint posts. One of the first to respond, also made for a fun post to be part of.

Kenneth Campbell A.K.A Martin Caine
Lieutenant Commander Ryan Alexander
06 Apr 2017 @ 2:10pm
for surprising me and going down with the ship, along with Lirrha.
Did not see that one coming
Rear Admiral Lirha Saalm
06 Apr 2017 @ 2:10pm
for surprising me and going down with the ship, along with Tyan.
Did not see that one coming.
Commander Allyndra illm Warraquim
06 Apr 2017 @ 2:06pm
My nomination for September's Crew's Choice Award goes to Marilyn, who writes as Commander Warraquim, the ship's Chief Medical Officer. She's been very active this month, and not just in the mission joint posts. I think she's struck a good balance between writing out her character's duties, while also making some new connections in Allyndra's personal life. She also puts a lot of detail into her character's culture and heritage, which makes for great reading. Well done!
Ambassador Soral Varro
06 Apr 2017 @ 2:03pm
My nomination for August's Crew's Choice Award goes to Kat, who plays LTJG Braxton MacKenzie. Kat has been very active both IC and OOC, and goes out of her way to not only write with much of the crew, but also to chat with members and guests in chat. She is a pleasure to interact with in all aspects of the simm. Well done Kat! -Luke (Kirilova)
Ensign Miraj Derani
20 Aug 2016 @ 5:14am
I have had the upmost pleasure in returning and being able to write with Notty, She is a delight both in character and out of it!

Well deserved!
Lieutenant Benice Gyce Ph.D.
20 Aug 2016 @ 5:09am
Hi! I'd like to Nominate Lark aka Benice Gyce for crew choice. I know i'm new and all but well in the last week since I've been here Lark was the first one to jump on the JP train with me and she chatted with me and welcomed me to the sim. I've done a lot of Role play trek games over the years and it's rare to find a Departmental CO who is that open and kind. Don't get me wrong the entire crew has been amazing and I am really honoured to be a part of this group but Lark has really been amazing. I read her character bio and the CSI like logs. They are really cool.
Lieutenant Benice Gyce Ph.D.
20 Aug 2016 @ 5:06am
For the 'person of interest' post, she is a real cop. - Shep
Lieutenant Tuula Voutilainen M.D.
20 Aug 2016 @ 4:50am
Yes I know in my own department and yes I did look at others and it was no easy task to pick a favourite but Tuula with her decorations, interactions with new crew has been amazing. Both light hearted and yet very serious at times.

Allyndra tries to keep the department going but Tuula has acted in her way as the counter to Allyndra's let's just push things. An interesting moral compass which I think contrasts very nicely with her character's outward appearance.
Lieutenant JG Drusilla McCarthy
20 Aug 2016 @ 4:36am
This was hard, there were so many good posts, character interactions and character building. In the end though I would like to say that Drusilla stood out as a shining example in a firmament of stellar examples.
Lieutenant JG Drusilla McCarthy
09 Mar 2016 @ 12:49am
Paula is one heck of a human being. She was an unknown to me, as shy as I am at getting to know people. And because of a personal situation we both share, it's brought us closer. She's an active presence to be sure. But OOC, she's a friend to those that need it and I can think of no other for this award.
Lieutenant Wilhelm Von Haeften
19 Feb 2016 @ 10:10am
I would like to nominate Ryan as since jining the SIMM he has jumped in and just ran. He makes the effort to write with anyone interesting and it also creative in having different ideas behind each point. I am enjoying watching Wilhelm's evoution as he joins the crew as CSO and look after to what more the writer has to bring :)
Chief Warrant Officer 3 Greg Mitchell
19 Feb 2016 @ 10:07am
I'm placing my vote this month for CCA for Randy. He had a really good and strong start and all of his posts have been a good read and interesting so far. Definitely a good addition to the crew.
Commander Allyndra illm Warraquim
19 Feb 2016 @ 10:00am
I vote for Marilyn for making intriguing and captivating characters. Just when I had questions about one of her characters and her race I now have questions about two of her characters and their races! I eagerly await a metaphorical and/or physical dissection of those Akkadians!
Commander Norvi Stace
12 Nov 2015 @ 12:37am
Those are some really interesting posts, and I just love the way the character is rpesented, how we get a great feel of who Stace is inside, and who Stace is to the rest of the world. Just great writing.
Lieutenant JG Cyrin Xanth
12 Nov 2015 @ 12:33am
Mal is an awesome guy to JP with. He's always asking for start them with folks and has a great attitude. So I nominate him this month.
Jynn
05 Sep 2015 @ 5:04pm
Jynn is a very interesting character, and Raymond, the writer behind Jynn, has been very active since coming aboard. Yes, Jynn has been in violation of his oath and no doubt some Starfleet regulations, but I think that makes it more interesting. After all, the story of a fall from grace and redemption is more interesting than the story of the Paladin who actually sticks to his oath.

Jynn also showed some vulnerability and we got some real insights into his character when he was chained up in Tuula's bed. Finally, the post quality has been consistently great.

I don't know what is going to happen to Jynn, but no matter what, it's going to be a fun story.
Jynn
05 Sep 2015 @ 5:03pm
Another delightful person to write with, and an excellent character concept that can go a great many ways. Love the character!
Jynn
05 Sep 2015 @ 4:57pm
Ray has been an awesome player since he got here. His eagerness to get into plots with anyone is infectious. And he has one of the most positive attitudes on this sim. For that reason, I nominate him for this award.
Commander Norvi Stace
24 Jun 2015 @ 2:04am
Our new XO has stepped up remarkably well since taking the post - Shaun has been a great player to work with and I am grateful for his support. Therefore he seems the only logical choice for me this month.
Lieutenant Benice Gyce Ph.D.
13 May 2015 @ 2:39pm
Since the removal and/or departure of some crew, Lark has really come into her own and is flourishing as a character and a writer. Benice is really progressing as a fully formed character and Lark is interacting more with the crew. It's been a pleasure to witness.

13 May 2015 @ 2:38pm
T'Vanna, yet another fantastic member of the crew who I am really learning from. She is showing me and helping me to develop another side of a character. It is a real testament to the quality of people that are here and the experience.
Lieutenant Oren Idris Ph.D.
13 May 2015 @ 2:38pm
A lot of people write El Aurians as older, more wise sorts. Oren is a fascinating character because he is old by human standards, but young by El Aurian standards. The juxtaposition is fascinating, and reading about him puts a smile on my face.
Ensign K'os Beaumont
22 Apr 2015 @ 11:32pm
Ben has come back with a vengeance this month after being away for a while. He's created some great NPCs in addition to some fabulous posts with K'os detailing the changes he has undergone and familiarizing new and old players with the character. "He'll Make You See There's Something You'd Die For" and "Spectacular Malformations" were my personal favorites from K'os, but "Do Flesh-machines Dream Of Fleshy Sheep" is the reason why Ben really deserves the Crew's Choice Award for this month. It's inventive, experimental and deeply insightful into the mind of a machine, and the ending, while simple, just makes your heart melt.
Lieutenant Oren Idris Ph.D.
06 Mar 2015 @ 2:15am
I think Oren has had some great moments in the past month, and we've seen a lot of solid writing with things like his romantic relationships and his efforts to grow as a character and overcome his reputation.
Lieutenant Prudence Devin Ph.D.
06 Mar 2015 @ 2:14am
For a refreshing take on a counsellor, and posting frequency that's quickly enfolding a new character by a classic player into the fabric of Galileo.

18 Feb 2015 @ 5:46am
Actually for the NPC of Cadet Winston. I have found the writing and the reactions of the NPC to be well thought out and well written.
Lieutenant Olsam Mott
18 Feb 2015 @ 5:43am
Quite simple: no-one writes a Bolian as Bryan does...and he does it with flair and a great dosis of Humour. Whatever he writes with Mott, I end up having a laugh. He's an awesome writer.
Lieutenant Min Zhao
14 Dec 2014 @ 5:40pm
What made me really smile this month was the post from Min with her counsellor. I believe that Min's a great character who often deserves more attention than she gets! Drew's a great writer, so this award isn't just for Min, but also Eva and the rest of the PNPCs!
Lieutenant Olsam Mott
14 Dec 2014 @ 5:39pm
I would like to nominate Bryan for this award. He brings so much to the Galileo IC and OOC. The characters he creates are so diverse and believable and his writing is excellent. He is easy to write with and is just a fun guy to converse with. The character Mott is one of the best representations of Bolians that I have ever seen and I think Bryan's good nature combined with his writing skills really brings the Mott character to life. OOC, Bryan helps develop subplots and throws in suggestions and is always ready to work on a joint post.
Ensign Jaana Voutilainen
06 Nov 2014 @ 2:47am
I've really enjoyed seeing Jaana's personality develop and define itself this month. It's been both creative and establishing in nature and Janna seems to be finding her stride.
Lieutenant Olsam Mott
10 Sep 2014 @ 1:54pm
Bryan's character brings such a detailed and unique point of view to the sim. I love writing with him and find his posts enjoyable to read.
Commander Scarlet Blake
06 Aug 2014 @ 2:17pm
For some extreme patience through the chaoticness of the group JPs and managing to keep it all together without a table getting turned over in frustration!
Commander Luke Wyatt
06 Aug 2014 @ 2:16pm
I have had the pleasure to write with Jake before my ELOA and having gotten a chance to get to know him OOC after my return, I feel he is one of the best assets to this sim. He not only plays two great characters, but he is just a fun guy. His writing is superb and has given two very distinctive voices to Luke and to Abbey.
Lieutenant Tuula Voutilainen M.D.
06 Aug 2014 @ 2:15pm
Tuula is a very interesting addition to Galileo. Its nice to see another medical member join the sim.
Commander Andreus Kohl
08 Jul 2014 @ 5:39pm
Although this is the first month I've been on the Galileo, I don't think I can rightfully judge which character/player deserves this. But I will say that, in the short time I've been here, Andreus (and, Brendan, of course) has kept me interested in what he is going through and I can't wait to read more. Brendan's posts are always consistent and fun to read and Andreus is truly a delightful character. I honestly look forward to seeing how he deals with his current struggles.
Command Master Chief Markum Quinn
08 Jul 2014 @ 5:38pm
I have really enjoyed reading Marcus' struggles related to the Cardassians. Many writers wouldn't want to deal with the consequences of writing such strong reactions, but I found his outbursts to be understandable and realistic.
Lieutenant JG Wakeham Paul Alasia Ph.D.
04 Jun 2014 @ 2:36pm
I enjoy the unique dynamic his personality brings to the group.
Lieutenant Asahi Kita
04 Jun 2014 @ 2:35pm
They just bring such energy and fun to every post without detracting from the plot or narrative. A please to post with...
Commander Norvi Stace
17 May 2014 @ 1:56pm
Just a wonderfully written character with so much depth, Norvi is a real treat to have as a comrade. She is the heart of the Science department without question. I can't wait to do more JPs between her and Jacob!
Lieutenant Asahi Kita
08 Apr 2014 @ 11:49am
Not really sure who to pick this month as everyone does good writing but no one person stood out this month to me. Hard to chose when the whole simm is the best of the best. :)
Ensign K'os Beaumont
09 Mar 2014 @ 9:59am
For not only making his characters a delight to read and write with, but also for going out of his way to make sure people feel involved in the plotting process and less like the other player is being dragged along for the ride.
Lieutenant Olsam Mott
06 Feb 2014 @ 11:21am
I think his character Dr. Mott is genuine and well written and I'm enjoying reading about the friendship between him and Miir. OCC I think he does a good job at jumping at tags or moving jps along.
Lieutenant Teth Miir
06 Feb 2014 @ 11:20am
An outstanding month of writing for Teth has seen many fun JPs and solo posts which all work very well to enhance and develop his character. Not only has he turned into an integral part of our game, he also has his flaws and demons which are a pleasure to read about when they're explored.
Lieutenant Olsam Mott
05 Jan 2014 @ 3:53pm
A wonderful month of writing has shown a lot of great character development and character interaction between Olsam while he awaited Galileo's arrival on Earth. The character is very fun to read and very three-dimensional, and reading his posts makes me want to know more about the Bolian.
Commander Scarlet Blake
13 Dec 2013 @ 11:53am
For her portrayal of Gabriel Stark. She does fake gay, better than I do, plus she is a good over-all writer with her main character
Commander Scarlet Blake
08 Nov 2013 @ 11:36am
For driving the mission forward, for taking command IC, for doing stuff OOC to make things better and generally being an amazing writer...this award deserves to go to her!
Captain Jonathan Holliday
06 Oct 2013 @ 12:22pm
I enjoyed the twist of Jonathan being abducted by the Borg very, very much, as well as his excellent penmanship as 'Legatus of Borg' and his valiant effort in fighting the Borg before being stolen away from us.
Commander Allyndra illm Warraquim
05 Sep 2013 @ 10:42am
Our new CMO has jumped right in and proven to be a great team player!
Lieutenant Jacob Pendleton
10 Aug 2013 @ 8:40pm
I've enjoyed writing with Jacob this month outside of the main party JPs so for this reason he wins my vote!
Rear Admiral Lirha Saalm
10 Aug 2013 @ 8:39pm
For the endless devotion to the crew and being sure all are always included.
Commander Scarlet Blake
07 Jul 2013 @ 11:03pm
Scarlet has had a great month of writing and has been a great help both IC and OOC with the final parts of our mission. She's done many JPs with a variety of crew members and brings a lot of enthusiasm to each JP.
Commander Andreus Kohl
07 Jun 2013 @ 6:56pm
Since Brendan has come back he's thrown himself into writing and I really enjoy JPing with him.
Lieutenant Jacob Pendleton
04 May 2013 @ 2:39pm
Since coming aboard, Pendleton has become a deeply involved character. He is always ready to post and regularly asks others to JP with him. He has taken the lead in all of his away missions and has thoroughly established himself as a valuable member of the department and of the crew. From his discovery of a type of clinic to being the enthusiastic other ever team he involves himself with, Pendleton is a character this sim very much appreciates.
Lieutenant Dawn Meridian
04 Apr 2013 @ 5:13pm
Of the RPs I've done this month those with Dawn had been the most fun.
Chief Warrant Officer 4 Cyrus Kiwosk
03 Mar 2013 @ 1:09am
For just being amazing and taking so many characters (IC) under his wing when the going gets tough!
Lieutenant Lilou Zaren
08 Feb 2013 @ 4:30pm
If there has been one person that has stood out for me this month it has been Ensign Peers, the little engineer that could. I find that her enthusiasm and honesty her posts permits a certain appreciation for writing that isn't common in modern works, forums or otherwise. I tip my hate to you Ensign!

07 Jan 2013 @ 4:48pm
Even after some initial difficulties, Mike showed real chutzpah in coming back and creating some great JPs. I have a definite image and idea of who Maennad is, as a character, and the posts (already completed and ongoing) show a complete - yet varied and complex character. Definitely become one of my favorites to do any JPs.

08 Dec 2012 @ 3:33pm
Since Phoebe joined the crew, she has thrown herself into her position with a great enthusiasm. Between Liyar and Athlan, she has made me laugh many a time with their antics and the ease of her writing. She is always available for a JP, weather it be to jump in feet first to help with a sub plot of just an opportunity for character development, she writes with the same eagerness and excitement that captures a reader and leaves them wanting more.
Lieutenant Commander Evelyn Coleman
10 Nov 2012 @ 2:45pm
Evelyn Coleman is an intriguing character. It will be interesting to learn more about her as the sim progresses after the events of our last mission.
Captain Jonathan Holliday
06 Oct 2012 @ 5:11pm
For Crew's choice award, I pick Holliday.

This man been thrown in the center seat and had to deal with all kinds of hardships that the Captain should have been through.

Not to mention all the OOC stuff Tom had done to move the mission. Not to mention putting up with my nonsense.

So he deserves something.
Lieutenant Aria Rice
03 Sep 2012 @ 11:07am
Aria has had a great month of writing, both getting herself involved with our storyline as well as making an effort to complete many side JPs and interact with other characters. Her posts have been fun and entertaining to read, and I'm happy to see her settling in so well.
Commander Andreus Kohl
03 Sep 2012 @ 11:06am
Kohl has been invaluable in the medical department and throughout all of the medical posts. His standard of writing is extremely high but yet he still manages to inject fun into what is happening and isn't afraid to jump forward with ideas and suggestions of his own.
Lieutenant Commander Chauncey Remington III (KIA)
06 Aug 2012 @ 11:57am
What can I say? Giving your life to save your team mates is pretty much the ultimate accolade to deserve this award!
Lieutenant Commander Pola Ni Dhuinn M.D.
05 Jul 2012 @ 12:12pm
The good Doctor has been friendly and writes very well! She is not afraid of taking risks and she is very helpful when I get stuck! As I have just started here, I haven't had the chance to speak to every character yet, but I feel she deserves some recognition!
Rear Admiral Lirha Saalm
05 Jul 2012 @ 12:11pm
The unsung hero of every ship, Our CO. They are often the person who goes unrewarded in order to be able to reward those under them. In the case of the USS Galileo, the CO deserves full recognition for the work and effort but into this ship. This is not just for the character he plays(Lirha) but also because of the work he puts into making this simm as fantastic as possible, both OOC and IC. The plots he comes up with, the stories he writes, all capture the imagination of every crew member, resulting in us wanted to be the best crew we can, to honour our CO. He is always there for each and everyone of us if we just need someone to bounce ideas off of or even if things are being too difficult, he's always there to do what he can to help. Our CO encompasses what a true CO should be, someone you can both look up to and know they have your back when you need it.
Lieutenant JG Kestra Orexil
30 May 2012 @ 1:54pm
This month she has made a massive effort to help fill the gap left by Drusilla and created a new NPC to help with counselling and, when needed, with medical. She has put as much effort into her NPC as she has her PC and is not afraid to educate herself on new information to help her be able to write counselling and medical posts. She is quick to ask questions where she doesn't understand something and quick to help where she can.
Captain Jonathan Holliday
01 May 2012 @ 12:16am
I would like to nominate Jonathan due to how he has stood up and helped me, especially in the last few days. He wasn't afraid to throw his character into a JP which may not have suited but because I needed help, he stood up to the base and offered me that help. He's always willing to jump into jp's weather it be we need the EMH NPC'ed or a computer NPC'ed, Jonathan jumps into the senerio and always manages to make what he writes both believable and enjoyable to read. As an individual, he is also willing to give you a shoulder to cry on, or a pick me up to just make you laugh. The XO can sometimes easily get lost IC because of all of the work required both OOC and IC, I for one couldn't wish for a better XO either IC or OOC.
Captain Jonathan Holliday
01 Apr 2012 @ 11:43am
Awarded for March 2012.
