Personal History Viola has always lived around the ocean. She was born on an island where fishing was the primary occupation. When her family moved to Earth she was appalled by the conditions of the oceans. She began to learn what she could about them, and nhow to help heal them.

While she has studied a bit about cetaceans, her primary focus is marine biology and oceanography.

She had PhDs in both specialties and has been assigned to the Galileo-A to help with the aquaponics lab and to see if she, and others, can create a way to have fresh fish and sea plants to supplement the crew's diet and perhaps find a way to help sustain generation ships.
