| General Overview | Jessica takes great delight in phrasing things in the most negative way, choosing the most depressing topics and delivering them with a warm smile and soft words. It doesn’t rain but it pours and normally only on her. The ship will likely crash into every enemy and spacial obstruction on their course only to spite her. Only when she is treating a patient does she relent, though if someone else was treating them they would be less likely to drop dead of unrelated causes. | Personal History | Jessica was born on Salva II near the border with the Cardassian Union. Her parents were colonist farmers and they worked for years to build a home and create viable farmland on the planet. After the war and the planet was given to the Cardassians though they were forced to leave, losing everything they worked for and most of their belongings. Jessica was five when they left and she was twelve before they finally found somewhere else they could settle down and call home, starting all over again. Not being much of a farmer she took a stab at applied biology and before she knew it she was training to be a nurse. At first she never even considered Starfleet and worked with various cargo ships and private enterprises as a medic before a series of events left her stranded near the Federation’s Core worlds. Taking a crash course in working for Starfleet something she begrudgingly accepted at the Academy she took a rank and as stationed to the Galileo after its arrival on Vega Colony. |
