| Personal History | Born on April 18, 2359, Greg is the son of a former Federation Marine and a Nurse. Growing up in Central Illinois with his brother Will, Greg was always adventurous but always cautious. He knew how to play in the woods but at the same time where he could and could not safely go. He loved being outside and playing with his father and older brother. His school life was mostly uneventful. He was an average kid, one who hated school and just wanted recess to start. His grades were between A- and D+ at all times. During High School is when he started to mature and make more friends, also focusing on bringing his grades up. He never got in a relationship though, being too shy around girls. After High School and graduating at Parkland College, Greg joined the Champaign Police Department in 2377 and was an officer for about three years before applying for Starfleet in order to see the galaxy. |

| Starfleet History | In 2381, after basic training, Greg specialized in the security field becoming a loyal security officer. His first assignment was a year on Earth guarding a Starfleet spaceport. Soon after he was transferred to the USS Star Angel and served on her from 2382 to 2385. After the destruction of Romulus, he was transferred to a Soveriegn class USS Ohio which was ordered to patrol the neutral zone to both help refugees and also defend against attackers who blamed the Federation for the loss of the planet. Mitchell served on board for four years before transferring off. While he liked the action on the Ohio, staying in one place became repetitive and seeing the homeless families of the Romulans depressed him. When he saw an opening on the USS Galileo, a science vessel, Mitchell jumped at the chance to actually travel somewhere and see new sites. It was also a way the cheer him up after his time on the Ohio. |
